En dag i mitt RSS flöde

Åt en middag med en av Sveriges 5 mest sannolika framtida VDar för Bonnier, Schibsted, Aller eller MTG i veckan. Vi pratade om livet och annat oviktigt när ämnet RSS feeder dök upp. Jag frågade lite trevande vilka RSS feeder han använde... när jag insåg att jag hade ett frågetecken framför mig. RSS feeder? Jag blev med ens orolig och lite rädd att mina internetvanor börjar bli lite för långt ifrån verkligheten. Jag behöver en reality check, borde kanske i jobbet sätta upp en panel med vanliga personer för att ha en fot i verkligheten. Eller så är just den kommentaren det verkliga problemet/utmaningen.

Apple's new wireless keyboard hits the FCC

Well somebody's on the ball today. Not even two hours after the announcement of Apple's new Bluetooth 2.0 wireless keyboard and the FCC's got it all approved to send 2.4GHz waves through your brain and the brains of your children. Unfortunately, they only got a pic of the keyboard's backside. That gold coloring? Our guess is the FCC's camera caught the colors wrong, but who knows, Apple could be bribing 'em with gold-plated peripherals to speed up that approval process.

This contract and a couple of others Yahoo has signed recently reflects the importance the company is placing on developing their portal's content and presence.

Online Advertising to Surpass Newspaper Advertising by 2011

The Financial Times reports that the 2007 annual research report on the media sector by media analysts Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS) forecasts online advertising will surpass newspaper advertising by 2011. With a projected annual growth rate of than 21 per cent per year, online advertising is expected to reach $62bn in 2011, making it bigger than newspaper advertising, which is expected to total $60bn in 2011.
The move to online advertising is not just a U.S. phenomenon. The shift in advertising spending away from traditional media to online and digital media is global. Some forecasters expect online spending in the UK and Sweden to overtake newspaper advertising as early as this year.
